‘Inspiring Independent Learners with Jesus by our Side’

Year 4 2022 - 2023

Mr Armstrong

A very warm welcome to Year 4!

We hope you've enjoyed your half term and are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of the next few weeks.

This year Year 4 will be taught by Mr Armstrong. The class will also be supported by Mrs Trigg (HLTA) and Ms Mahoney (TA).

READING BOOKS--Can be changed every day if needed, please books in daily. It is also fine is your child is reading a book from home rather than school however we request this is also brought in daily.

UNIFORM:

Children should come to school in full uniform.  For details, please visit the 'Parents' tab of the website and look at the 'uniform shop' - 'school uniform guide'. It is essential that ALL uniform is named. Summer uniform is fine to be worn for this coming half term.

WHAT TO BRING INTO SCHOOL:

Water bottle - filled with clean water each day.

Coat or hat/cap (depending on the weather) which must be named.

You may also bring the following, if you wish:

A pencil case.

A healthy snack for play time. No chocolate please.

A packed lunch in a lunchbox, if your child is not having a school meal.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

PE bag - see below.

Money for snack - as the school kitchen will not be providing any snack at this time.

Toys or items to 'share'.

PE KIT:

For the coming year, children will continue to come to school in their PE days. Our PE days this next half term will still be Monday (swimming) and Thursday.

On PE days the children will need to come to school dressed in their white PE t-shirt (with school badge or a plain t-shirt), green shorts, socks and trainers. They may also wear a plain, green or dark coloured tracksuit with no logos. (The top will probably be needed every week but the wearing of trousers or shorts will depend on the comfort of your child and the weather). Please note we will now be switching to Games work on Thursdays so will now be outside for this, white t-shirt and green shorts would be preferable however if the weather is poor then hoodies and joggers will be acceptable.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with the school via email or catch us on the door at the end of the day.
