‘Inspiring Independent Learners with Jesus by our Side’

Homework

Homework due - Monday 16th July

The children have brought home a spell checking sheet to complete and there are also two tasks set on MyMaths. This will be the last homework of the year - time has really flown by!

Homework due - Monday 9th July

The children have a sheet to practise using speech punctuation this week.

Homework due - Monday 25th June

Please complete the My Maths activities and practise your spellings.

Homework due - Tuesday 12th June

Please complete the My Maths activities. This will give an opportunity to practise the fractions work we have been doing in class.

Homework - due Tuesday 5th June (Book swap day)

The children have brought home book review templates to be completed for their homework this week.

We have talked about choosing a book that they are happy to donate to our book swap (they will be bringing a new book home that they have chosen in return on the Tuesday).

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Homework – Due Next Tuesday 8th May (due to the Bank holiday)

Please research religion in Greece.

What are the major religions?

Are there any similarities or differences to how we worship?

Think about where they gather, any ceremonies or rituals they celebrate and any important symbols.

Homework set 26th March 2018, due Monday 16th April

Please complete the My Maths activities on multiplication. Remember, you can use the grid method or column multiplication to help find the answers.

If you have any problems logging on; or have lost your username or password, please let me know this week so I can help.

You will also have some spellings to learn - I will give these out tomorrow (Tuesday 27th April)

Homework set 5th March 2018, due next Monday

This week, please spend some time 'polishing' your homework. This means you need to check for any spelling, punctuation and grammar errors and correct them.

I would also like you to identify any technical language included in your endagered species report (we will discuss technical language in class) and then find the dictionary definition for each word. If you are struggling to find appropriate language in your own report, please let me know and I can give further guidance. For a further challenge, try using one or two of the words in your own sentences - this is an extra activity and not expected!

Homework set 5th February 2018, due next Monday

Due to our residential trip this week, I will not be setting a written homework for the children to complete, but I would ask that they continue to practise their times tables and spellings. I will also add some activities to My Maths. Also, to coincide with Safer Internet day (6th February), I have attached some helpful fact sheets, conversation starters and a Family Pledge card that you may wish to share with your children. We will be exploring activities particularly related Safer Internet day in school, alongside our day-to-day conversations about how to behave responsibly when using technology.

Homework set 29th January 2018, due next Monday

Please practise the spellings from the sheets that you have brought home. When you feel more confident, perhaps try putting them into a sentence.

Also, we are continuing our work on mulitplication and division, so please continue learning your times tables. We have discussed in class which you should focus on, depending on how you did in your last test.
