Our week-September 26th

Date: 29th Sep 2016 @ 4:53pm

This week we have been lucky enough to have 3 visitors in class!

On Monday, archaeologist Dr Parker-Heath came in for a hands on morning of learning. We learned about how archaeologists piece together the past from the artefacts they find. We were then trained in how to be an archaeologist, before having an opportunity to dig for artefacts in class. Finally we presented the artefacts we found in a museum display. The children all had a fantastic morning and really enjoyed handling and discovering about the different pre-historic finds we dug up!

On Wednesday afternoon Father Paul and Sister Phyllis visited Year 3. They first gave the children a talk on their roles within the parish to help the children understand more about our parish family. They were also both generous enough also to take questions the children had planned which provided some interesting information!

Next Week: Homework.

Spelling---Contractions: Don't, it'd, it'll.

Times Tables--- x4.

Homework: Cave Painting Research!
