Our week Sept 11th!

Date: 15th Sep 2017 @ 2:07pm

Another well done to the children on completing their 1st full week in class. We are now up and running with all our different topics and subjects after the settling in period.

In science our topic is 'Forces and Magnets' and this week we investigated how magnetic force is unique as it can act at a distance without touching the object it affects.

With an eye to next week we also started our History topic of 'The Stone Age to Iron Age'. After researching what life was like all those thousands of years ago we then compared it to our own looking at some of the differences (and occasional similarities). On Tuesday next week we will have our Stone Age morning which will include various activities both indoors and out, as well as a visit from a Neolithic man!

Finally as a reminder, when reading with the children please encourage them to keep their reading record (stuck at rear of diaries) updated.

This week's homework----Spellings=Prefixes 'un' and 'dis'. Examples: unkind, unwell, unzip, dislike, distrust. How many more examples can you find at home?

Times tables= x2 x5 and x10 revision.
