Our week October 9th!

Date: 15th Oct 2017 @ 5:23pm

A big well done to all the children after what has been a very busy week. We managed to concluded both our maths work on Place Value and our Literacy work writing Stone Age Adventure stories. Next week we start new topics in both subjects!

On Thursday we had outdoor classroom day. The children put on their trainers and coats and we used the school outdoor areas such as the woods and field to inspire our planning for an independent Stone Age adventure. We visted Stone Henge (the toadstools!) and also saw a sabre-tooth tiger hunting across the grasslands (a cat running on the field!), the children were brilliant with their ideas. They then followed this up in the afternoon sharing their work on 'Reaping what we sow' during the Harvest Service.

On Friday they were again fantastic delivering their class assembly and sharing the things they have enjoyed learning about so far! I was very proud of their hard work on the day, and all week.

This week's homework----Spellings=Homophones--brake, break, grate, great, eight, ate, weight, wait, son, sun. How many more examples can you find at home?

Times tables= x4.
