Our week October 2nd!

Date: 7th Oct 2017 @ 10:40am

This week in Literacy we have been concentrating on writing our Stone Age story. We begun by spliting into groups to learn the whole version of our text 'Cave Baby'. Each group came up with actions to recall a section of the story and then taught their part to the rest of the class. We then performed it all together. Using this structure we next planned our own version of the story updating and altering parts to make it our own! Next week the children will complete their full written version.

This week we also finished our research into the Neolithic village of Skara Brae. The children presented their work as information booklets written for visiting tourist recounting the history and layout of the site as well as some other interesting facts.

Next week is very busy! On Thursday we have both Outdoor Classroom day and our Harvest service at St. Bede's Church (please collect children from here that day). Then on Friday is our 1st class assembly, we hope you can join us for this!

This week's homework----Place Value Challenge=To be done in red books and returned by 16th October.
