Our week October 16th!

Date: 21st Oct 2017 @ 12:21pm

On Monday we started the week designing and constructing the basis for our own stone circles. Using existing examples the children came up with their own design, we then used clay to model the blocks/stones needed to make their designs. These have been drying in class and next week we will use them to assemble our final work. If possible could each child bring in a biscuit tin lid (or similar) which will be used for the base of their stone circle. This is not essential, but is useful when transporting work home.

Later in the week we were visited on Thursday by Father Paul who came into class and gave us a talk about Baptism. Using a few lucky children he walked us through the sacrament including the pouring of water and annointing with oils. The children also did a short question and answer session with him using questions they had prepared earlier in the week.

This coming week is our last before half term and we will have plenty going on including instrution writing in Literacy and a visit from a PCSO!

Finally, well done to the children who represented the class and school at the Year 3/4 mixed football tournament. I know lots other children were keen, and hopefully plenty of other opportunities like this well crop up across the school year.

This week's homework----Learning Log on the country of Singapore (done in preparation for activities after half term)=To be done in red books and returned after Half-Term.
