Our week-November 7th!

Date: 12th Nov 2016 @ 12:09pm

In class this week we have been enjoying Art Week! Our theme was poetry, and we selected the poem 'Solstice' as our inspiration. The poem describes someone visiting a Stone Circle and imagining what they would have been able to see/feel if they had been there in Iron Age times.

We looked at different Celtic art work then used them as examples to sketch and trace different Celtic patterns. Next we used these patterns to create a clay model tile or cross in the Celtic style. Throughout the week we also constructed sunrise images using different coloured card as well as pastel drawings of images describe in our poem.

Next week we will be using all the amazing work to create a beautiful display in the school, keep your eye out for it!

Next week: Homework.

Spelling pattern to research at home---Prefix 're'=recharge, redo, reconsider, react, repeat. How many more examples can you find at home?

Times Tables---x8.

Homework: Food chart!
