Our week---January 16th

Date: 22nd Jan 2017 @ 8:48am

There is no were else to start than with Friday afternoon and the fantastic display that the children put on for the KS2 Pop-Up Museum. The children were full of curiosity throughout the process, and worked especially hard to plan, write and layout their classes exhibition. I was personally most pleased by the attitude of the class in the way they shared their objects and stories with children in the other classes during the display. Objects will be coming home with the children on Monday, thank you for all your support with the project!

This Friday also saw the 1st of our session with Ms Reid from St. Nicholas. On Friday after break she introduced us to the basic of hockey as well as some funny expressions for remembering how to travel with the ball!

Next week the children will be completing their non-chronological reports on Ancient Egypt. Well done for all the reading up at home, it is very evident in class! We will also start our new science topic of 'Rocks and Fossils', which will also be supported by our upcoming Museum visit.

Next week: Homework.

Spellings---Apostrophes for contractions= It's, don't, couldn't, didn't, I'd. Can you find more examples at home to practice?

Times Tables---x9.

Homework: Contractions sentence practice sheet.
