Our week---February 6th!

Date: 11th Feb 2017 @ 10:38am

On Tuesday we spent some time in class looking at 'Safer Internet Day'. As a class we discussed how technology has changed over time. Fifteen years ago we may have had a set of photos in an album, however now they are move likely to be on a memory card or even online. When a photo goes on the internet anyone may be able to see it so it is important we think about this beforehand.

We looked at different photos and considered the impressions we got from them before considering what impression people may get from photos of us. Finally each child selected a photo from the class Ipad of themselves that they felt would give a good impression to someone who may view it. These were then printed off and the children used these to create a mini-profile of themselves with a advice on what to remember when sharing photos online written underneath,

This week we have also started to look at telling time in our numeracy work. This is a great topic to support at home through use of clocks, watches, timetables etc so keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities.

Next week: Homework.

Homework: As we have an INSET day on Friday I have decided I will not set the children a specific piece of homework to be returned at the end of the week.

There will be challenges added to mymaths on Monday though, and as always please make sure the children are doing some reading each evening,
