Our week---February 26th!

Date: 4th Mar 2018 @ 1:33pm

As always, a busy 1st week back in class! The children have worked very hard depsite their lack of outside play time with all the poor weather, so this is a credit to them.

Thursday was definitely a highlight. It was brilliant to see all the imaginative costumes the children came in wearing, and even better to hear them share the reasons behind their costume choices. In class we enjoyed a range of book related challenges including a library scavenger hunt, designing new covers for our favourite books as well as getting to mix with some of the other classes in the school and share our books!

On Friday, Father Paul came into class to help prepare the children for their 1st Forgiveness on Saturday (well done to everyone!), and also to help support us with our RE work that we are currently doing about celebrating the Mass. As usual, the children found his visit informative and enjoyable.

Looking ahead to next week we will be swimming again on Monday so don't forget kits! We will also be concluding our work on the Egyptian Cinderella text with a piece of story writing so I am hoping everyone is brimming with ideas tomorrow morning! In Numeracy we will be doing division, and in Topic we will begin to look at modern Egypt and its geographical features.

On Friday we will be having an assembly to celebrate our visit to Winmarleigh last month. This will be at 1440 and parents are very well to come and find out about all our adventures!
