Our week---December 5th!

Date: 10th Dec 2016 @ 10:52am

Another busy week has flown by as we near the end of the childrens first term in Year 3! The class are now really getting into the groove with their singing for our play, and we are all very excited for the performances next week.

On Thursday we had a whole school Maths Day. Throughout the day the class had different opportunities to practice their maths skills across various disciplines. Tasks included, creating animals from 2D shapes, a mathematical treasure hunt, and using maths to crack codes and hidden messages. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from a team at Liverpool University who brought in a selection of problem solving activities. After joining with the Year 4 class we spent an hour in the hall challenging ourselves on the range of actvities they had set out! Photos to follow hopefully....

Next week: Homework.

Spellings---Words from the Year 3 spelling list: appear, build, caught, difficult, early, guard, natural, position, strange, various. Practice at home!

Times Tables---x3, x4, x8 revision.

Homework: Practicing words/singing for Aladdin performance.
