"I love Maths"

"We have lots of equipment to help us understand"

"Teachers help us to understand it when its tricky"

What did you think of maths at school?  Parents are often asking teachers how to support children with maths and their learning.  As a school we subscribe to 'My Maths' and even when online homework hasn't been set by the teacher this is a great resource to let your child use as there are lots of games to help reinforce learning. Please speak to the classteacher if you have mislaid log in details.  (From Y1 onwards)

In school we also subscribe to Maths of the Day which is a programme to combine Maths and practical activities often outside.  Ask your child about Motty....he spends a week with every class and reports back in assembly each week!

Please refer to the Calculations Policy on this page if you wish to help your child with any ways of calculating at home!  Lots of parents say they don't want to confuse their child with methods of how they have been taught so this document can help you support!

Useful websites.... (children love this)

And one of the easiest ways to support your child at home is to help them learn their times tables, using both multiplication and division facts.  By the end of Y4 children should be confident in tables up to X12.  Please support your child with learning them!
