Junior Road Safety Officers
This year our officers are: Jacob and Daniel
Roles and Responsibilities
JRSOs are a very important part of St Bede's as they help to raise road safety awareness and promote road safety issues to everyone in the school and the wider community. Here are just some of the responsibilities JRSOs have:
-
Attend a training session a the start of the year to collect their personal organiser.
-
Lead assemblies on road safety and help pupils in the community keep safe on the roads by reading out bulletins.
-
Run competitions in the school and get prizes for the winners.
October Competition
Be Safe, Be Seen
It is very important during the Autumn and Winter months to wear bright clothing so that we can be seen when the days are often dull and the nights are much longer. This month’s message was Be Safe, Be Seen.
KS1 Competition
Colour the children in the brightest crayons you can find to make them stand out. Once you have done this fill in the missing words below to create an important message about staying safe during Autumn and Winter.
KS2 Competition
We would like you to write your own poem, rap or rhyme about why it is so important to wear bright clothing especially in Autumn and Winter months.
There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.
Please hand entries to Jacob and Daniel (make sure they have your full name and class on) by Wednesday 7th November. Good Luck!
