Online Safety

Staying Safe Online

The internet is an exciting and informative tool for both parents and children. It helps us keep in touch with relatives who live far away, watch catch up TV, find lots of useful information, book holidays or even buy the weekly groceries.

However, there are risks that parents need to be aware of and know how to manage. Your child will be taught how to stay safe online in school, through lessons and assemblies.

If you would like to know more visit the ThinkUKnow website at www.thinkuknow.co.uk. All the information here is brought to you by the team at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre.

The Adventures of Kara, Winston and the SMART Crew

These cartoons illustrate 5 e-safety SMART rules and include a real life SMART Crew of young people, who guide the cartoon characters in their quest, and help them make safe online decisions.
