Our week----June 12th!

Date: 17th Jun 2017 @ 10:38am

Another week flashes past! Thank you for your help and support on Tuesday morning with all the First Holy Communion pictures, it was lovely we had nice weather and were able to do them outside.

This week we have begun our Literacy work on newspapers. The children have been busy investigating how a newspaper report is laid out and how to plan one. We have also begun to find out about the Venetian explorer Marco Polo who will be the subject of our Topic/Literacy and ICT work over the next few weeks. On Wedneday the children worked very well researching foods sourced from Italy and specifically Veneto. These have been collected together so that this coming week we can do our taste testing before we plan our sandwiches. This will now be on Thursday not Wednesday (as stated on letter) so that the children who are out representing the school at a tennis tournament don't miss out.

Next week as well as the taste testing we will also have swimming on Monday as normal. On Thursday is non-uniform day in preparation for the summer fair. Then on Friday (weather permitting) we will have our Sports Day which I know the children are very excited about!

Next week: Homework---Spelling=Homophones--He'll, heal, grown, groan, rein, reign, rain. Can you find more examples at home?

Times tables= x8.

Homework: Marco Polo task.
